My first etsy purchase…

I bought this fab print Science is Awesome by Pam Wishbow to hang above my desk to remind me of my science background. Is archaeology a science? I guess it depends who does it and what they do. I might not have laid hands on a test tube or Bunsen burner for at least twenty years (flip how old am I!) but I like to think this print will remind me to approach my day job with scientific rigour and objectivity (well, I can hope...).

And the sun came out...

We've had blue skies for two days in a row so spring must be on its way (although the icing sugar dusting of snow that lasted all day in my shady garden says otherwise). I took the opportunity to take some photos of my prints, including the new Spiral Rabbit in Black , in some natural light for a change. Despite its 20 or so little windows this house tends to be a bit on the dark side so getting good photos has been a real pain. I quite like the blue sky background and hoping for more tomorrow so I can re-photograph the rest of my stock.

Little pot of gold?

This little pot of gold has been in a box on my desk for the last 15 years at least. Today I opened it for the first time in probably all those 15 years and see that it has long dried up. I really must stop hoarding. I wonder if it had any bullion value - is it even real gold????

I'm a bit chuffed...

that one of my fishy watercolours has made it onto Craft Gawker today.

PINK - yikes this so isn't me!

But it is starting to grow on me. Must sit down and have a cup of tea to ponder on that one and resist the urge to get the black ink out again for at least another couple of weeks.
